Wow Gianni Vecchio following behind Max was decent pace for this race but got stuck behind some people making huge mistakes after Max overtook them. Dude had a gameplay to just follow Max and pick off the stragglers that Max separated from the pack and it worked.

Broooo I’ve been saying this for years now and now I’ve just heard max say it for himself. Low key, I think I’m quicker (on the sim) than quite a few pro real life drivers, I’ve never said that to anyone though because it sounds ridiculous, but I’ve practiced very re regularly for like 7 years now, real life drivers only get to practice once a week if they’re lucky, it only makes sense sim racers are the bench mark. Obvs different story irl though, I have raced a bit and I’m pretty fast, but the balls needed is a different level, I ain’t quite there irl although I’m sure someone gave me the money I’d be able to compete

Big key to max's turn exit speed is his throttle control. He keeps the rpms at the perfect spot for the correct speed of the corner, allowing him to gain speed faster out of corners. Other drivers also trail brake, but they aren't as perfect as he is with the rev accuracy. Those extra rpms help so much for gaining those needed inches on other drivers. He knows exactly the right throttle and brake for each corner, and he is CONSISTENT every lap, with the least variation compared to other drivers. He's more of a machine that runs a program 100x than a human trying to hit their marks.
